Mission: 

We deliberately mentor and coach students to apply strategies, use tools, and make connections to maneuver through their careers and contribute to their communities.

Vision:

To support self-discovery and career readiness for all students to reach their career and professional goals.

Goals: 

• Work collaboratively with employers, Hastings College employees, and alumni to enhance students’ career development

• Provide career coaching to assist students at any stage of their career development through individual appointments, drop-ins, resources, programs, events, and career courses both online and in-person

• Leverage access to career information and resources online and in-person, including LinkedIn, Handshake, TRUMOTIVATE, My Next Move, Big Interview, Internship USA, and other pertinent links and printed materials

• Support faculty in guiding students in professional and graduate school planning

• Educate on best practices to master resumes, cover letters, interviewing, career conversations, and self-promotion

• Train students to articulate their qualifications and skills by citing examples through descriptive stories and content 

• Increase career-readiness competencies through participation in Alumni Mentoring Program

• Facilitate an efficient process for internships taken for academic credit
